When repeated natural malaria infections throughout the life cannot provide complete protection to an individual staying in a highly endemic area, do you think a vaccine with a few parasite antigens (there are more than 5000 malaria parasite antigens) can protect an individual? Check whether it is feasible or not. A vaccine is a must for malaria control. But before that let us try to understand the complex life cycle of the parasite and the complex immune system of the vertebrate host; the human being. Let us try for a vaccine considering the importance of an anti disease vaccine, immuno-modulation of the vertebrate host and the importance of a potent adjuvant.
